It is not enough to simply acknowledge the land we occupy. We all must do better to recognize the culture, languages and history of the original stewards of the lands as well as acknowledge Native Americans are still here.
The p’squosa (Wenatchi) Tribe are a non-federally recognized tribe that once called this land home in what is currently known as Wenatchee, Cashmere, Leavenworth, Lake Wenatchee in Washington State. Our language is nxaʔamxčín. The Icicle River once flowed red with salmon. The Wenatchee, Icicle and Columbia River are important to the p’squosa.
